Off to Montreal today! On the Uber on the way to the airport, we should be landing in like 4 hours if all goes according to plan.
-
Like I said yesterday, in some way i felt we were forced to go on the trip because we didn't want to lose the money we had put into the resort but since we're going might as well make the most of it...
-
Going to the airport via car at 7 on a Saturday morning is very different than last time when it was like 5pm on a weekday, i have to say
-
Now in line for security, this was muuuch smoother than the experience on the way to Jordan where agents had to manually check everyone's status, uploading vaccine records in advance sped things up
-
The security line seems long but it's moving at a decent pace
-
(wish Farah had Nexus - the P2W airport cheat code similar to precheck or global entry but she didn't apply until June at my pestering and due to covid they're basically not processing new applicants)
-
This is probably the most thorough secondary bag inspector I've had, went through all the liquids then decided to pass the bags through the machines again
-
Very unnecessary and timewaste-y event there but past security and waiting now
-
Got a quick decaf as I've been weaning myself off caffeine to be trip-safe and now sitting in the plane (looks much snowier than it is)
-
Plane selfie

Now waiting for de-icing, wanted headphones that worked with their entertainment system but can't get them until we're on the air which really devalues them as it's only 40 mins flying time... Was hoping to use them while waiting cause I'd heard Free Guy was a fun enough movie
-
Still waiting on de-icing, sure would have been nice to have the headphones all this time, smile
-
Finally taking off, dog bless
-
Finally landed!

Went to get some fried chicken at Jack le Coq, it was cold. Yesterday was like 14C, today feels like -10 so... And since i didn't bring a coat so i wouldn't have to carry it to Mexico it was a fun walk
-
Got to hang out with friends and catch up and it was great, makes me wish we could have stayed in Montreal longer as there's at least a couple other people I'd have loved to have time to see, it was just too cold and snowy to go out after food given our shows and lack of coats

Time to crash to wake up early, the air mattress does seem to lose air quickly with both of us on it but shhh don't want to make a fuss so i moved to the couch to stem the losses. Also having two curious cats prowling about is distracting but they're adorable....cat tax pic:

Seems like one of the rascals might have punctured a leak (or else was playing near it) as we had to duct tape the bed to prevent it from deflating as fast, let's see how it holds up... Waking up in 6 hours anyway
