Day 9 - Aomori Prefecture part 2 and Sendai #Japan2019

I think today we're seeing some castle ruins before I head over to Sendai, but for now I'll wait for him to wake up, it's so windy here, the windows shake!

First up was the castle park in Hirosaki

A bit more from the nebuta museum in Hirosaki, these are used during the summer festival of the same name across Aomori

Now we algo to a street with 33, I think, Buddhist Temple in a street

A few shots from the area, most temples were pretty subdued as far as outer beauty at least, I still wonder how all these temples in a line work, do you choose which you like or something

Last stop for the Hirosaki area was the Saishou-In Temple which has a 5 story pagoda

And some more of a couple of interesting things in it

Then some fast food gyudon (very satisfying) and a bit of time looking through cheap books before I mistimed how long we spent in the store and my friend did a heroic Initial D impression rushing us for me to catch the train but not get a very proper goodbye

Now I'm at Shin Aomori from where I'll head to Sendai

Just passed Morioka again but now I'm 30mins from Sendai

Time to drop things off at the hotel, also wow it's so much less cold here

I've decided to add an extra night to Sendai because there's enough to do i felt like that I'd be too rushed plus the hotel.was nice and fairly cheap for some reason, being able to change plans on a whim is very nice

These would just really be cool elsewhere

Took me like 10mins to find this place

Damn, this mini kakuni appetizer was so good already

Tomato salad, that was a very good tomato

Beef tongue and oxtail broth 🥰 it was cooked really well

There were some cute places around the shopping area, also at one point the shopping area definitely transformed into a fairly explicit adult uh... entertainment section with people outside trying to get you to go in

On the way back to the hotel I discovered it's actually connected to the station meaning I completely took a terrible route when first arriving here, oh well, tomorrow either explore Sendai or day trip
